Wilcox began his professional acting career in 193 when he appeared in The Streets of San Francisco episode of The Runaways as the older brother, George. He also had guest starring roles on televisions shows such as Room 222, Mr. & Mrs. Bo Jo Jones and The Man and the City as well as in the 1976 film The Last Hard Men, TV appearances, commercials, and the TV show CHiPs.
Larry Wilcox is also an accomplished motorcycle rider, professional rodeo cowboy, race car driver, Bonneville Salt Flat Land Speed Record holder, and private pilot aside from being a Marine Veteran. While working on the show with his co-star Erik Estrada, he did many of his own stunts and did not suffer any major injuries, unlike “Ponch.” He appeared on the cover of TV Guide three times along with Estrada.
