Clarence Williams III began his career when he appeared on Broadway in 1960’s theatrical play, The Long Dream. He received a Theatre World Award for that particular theater production.
Then, he landed a role for Slow Dance on the Killing Ground in 1964 wherein he was nominated in Tony Award. He appeared in several production on stage are 1963’s Walk in Darkness,, 1964’s Sarah and the Sax and Doubletalk, among others.
