Stavian Rodriguez had grown up in Oklahoma City. He went to Midwest City High School and, according to a memorial, he loved to play basketball and Xbox and wanted to be a sports player or a geologist. He is survived by his mother Cameo Holland, his father Steven Rodríguez, his sister Miraya Camacho, brothers Miguel Camacho and Kevin Downing, and his stepbrothers, Gino and Benny Cedillo.

When the incident occurred, KOCO 5 News reporter Perris Jones tweeted: “I spoke to Stavian Rodriguez’s mother and a former teacher, age 15. He was the armed robbery suspect shot and killed by police officers. from OKC Monday night. Police say he did not follow orders and made sneaky movements that led to the shooting. @koconews ”
Rand Eddy, attorney for Rodriguez’s family, said: “The Oklahoma City Police Department has been perpetuating the murder of innocent and unarmed people for decades. Of the many forms of justice that Stavian and his family deserve, we hope to see the end of this folly, violence, and tragedy in our community. ”

Additionally, in a statement on Facebook Wednesday, Oklahoma City Fraternal Policy Order John Gage said: “When an armed robbery suspect did not obey police orders, five officers perceived the same threat and they fired their guns simultaneously. Loss of life is always a tragedy and we know that these officers did not take firing their guns lightly. The OKC FOP supports these officers and maintains that they acted within the law. ”
Robbery Suspect Shot Dead by Cops
A 15-year-old boy, suspected of an armed robbery, was shot and killed on November 23. In connection with this case, five Oklahoma City police officers were charged with manslaughter on Wednesday.
According to the Washington Examiner, Rodriguez was shot by officers “multiple times” and the identities of the accused officers have also been revealed: Bethany Sears, Jared Barton, Corey Adams, John Skuta, and Brad Pemberton.
