The instructor of horseback Disappears
According to WXIA, Toeneboehn stays in the stables for several days a week to train horses, but she lives and attends college in Alabama. The Austell Police Department considers the disappearance of the young coach “suspicious” while she left her car, keys, wallet and phone in her apartment. Investigators are also not sure at this time if she left her apartment on her own accord or if she was going to meet someone, the National Center for the Missing and Endangered reported. The young coach is an Alabama native and attends Southern Union State Community College in Wadley. She is reportedly going to Georgia for work reasons, as she is a horse trainer.
“She had never done anything like this before, and there would be no way she was leaving that long, ever, by her own choice,” her mother said Saturday. “A lot of very exciting things happened this week … in the barn, specifically this morning, that she would never have voluntarily missed.” Police had no suspects until noon on Saturday. “We have her at (the National Criminal Information Center), (Georgia Criminal Information Center) as a missing person,” Starrett said. “We have lookouts in the surrounding counties and in Alabama, we also have Alabama authorities working with us … Hopefully, if she just got out, she’ll see something to get in touch with her mother.”
Police conducted a search of West Creek Stables using a canine unit on Friday, February 26, but did not find Toeneboehn. A representative from the Austell Police Department told Fox 5 that it is unusual that the young woman is not in contact with her family and her work. “This is not a typical behavior of Abi, that she adores her family and her animals,” said the representative.
