Rabiya Mateo is a Filipino model and beauty pageant winner who was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2020. She represented the Philippines in the Miss Universe 2020 pageant and finished as one of the top 21 semi-finalists.

Mateo was born to a domestic partnership between his Indian-American father and his Filipino mother, who later separated. According to Mateo, he grew up in poverty.

“First of all, I must stick to my essence, which is the passion for educating people. I am a public speaker and I have been pursuing this because this education helped me to have that comfortable life that my family and I deserve. I want to push people, I want them to achieve more extraordinary things in life through me, and I know that Miss Universe, everything is possible because I am a phenomenal woman with sincere beauty.

Mateo represented the Philippines at the 2020 Miss Universe pageant in Miami, Florida, United States, and finished as a semifinalist in the top 21.

Miss Universe Philippines has published the official portraits of its 2021 candidates.

On Monday, a total of 99 photos were uploaded to the Facebook page of the national contest.

Organizers encouraged fans to vote for their favorites via the Miss Universe Philippines app as the candidates narrow down to the Top 75.

The coronation night of Miss Universe Philippines 2021 will take place on September 25 and will feature only 30 candidates chosen after a series of virtual challenges.

The winner will represent the country in the Miss Universe pageant to be held in Israel in December.
