Mackenzie Rosman began her professional acting career before starting kindergarten, and appeared in numerous television commercials by the age of four.

In 1996, Mackenzie Rosman played the role of Ruthie Camden on 7th Heaven. During her audition, she personally greeted each person in the room by a handshake.
