Karla Lasiter Wiki – Karla Lasiter Biography
Karla Lasiter is an Arkansas elementary school teacher who is accused of making a black kindergarten student unclog a toilet filled with feces with her bare hands, according to a post from her grandmother on social media.
Lasiter was placed on administrative leave after being charged with “making a 5-year-old student unclog a toilet with his hands,” according to KATV, which reported that the alleged incident occurred in the Pulaski County Special School District.
Lasiter works for Crystal Hill Elementary School, which is located in North Little Rock. KATV quoted KATV in a September 2020 article on how students were adjusting to wearing masks.
“I’m so used to throwing myself on the ground, calling in groups of kids and mixing them up,” she told the television station. They know there is a pandemic and we have discussed that if they are not feeling well it is important to stay home, “she said.
The article said that “teachers like Lasiter … want parents to know that they are doing everything possible to keep their little ones safe.”
Lasiter doesn’t have much of a social media presence, but she has been featured in various social posts over the years. A Facebook page in her name was removed. She has a Pinterest page with boards like “fun classroom ideas.” Her Instagram page, whose profile she shows her holding an electric guitar, is private.
The school district posted a photo of Lasiter with a plate on the back of her head in 2017, writing on Facebook, “Kindergarten teacher Karla Lasiter celebrates Upside Down Day at CRYSTAL HILL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL during the week of! Read Across America! #RISEArkansas “.
In 2019, Lasiter was featured in a Jazzercise-Little Rock Fitness Center Facebook post that read, “Happy Birthday Karla Perkins Lasiter! Congratulations on getting your 50th-anniversary bag on your 50th !!! ”
The Jazzercise center also wrote, “This cute and sassy little thing took her 150th class tonight! I’m glad you’re feeling better and you’re back to jazz because we’ve missed your smiling face! Congratulations to Karla Perkins Lasiter. ”

Victim’s Family
The boy’s grandmother, Tami Murry, wrote a lengthy Facebook post about the incident:
PSA… I’ve been struggling with this since yesterday !!!! When I was on my way to a meeting, I received a phone call, it was my middle daughter … Mother, I have something to say to you and you will be very angry … I said it’s okay, tell me … She said Ashton (my grandson ) the teacher made her put her hand in the toilet and clean her stools and tissues because she stopped the toilet. I said that!!!! I told him to let me hang up the phone, that I had reached my destination and started calling the elementary school (Crystal Hill Elementary) and the PCSSD school board. When I left my meeting, I called seven on her side and emailed Fox 16. The PCSSD Superintendent called me at 6 something last night! I want this teacher to never do this to another black student again !!! This kid is 5 years old in kindergarten! He is a young black man and this was done to demean him, belittle him, and it will cause him anxiety, he keeps telling everyone what happened !!! I won’t stop until this is handled properly! We have to protect our black males but decent and in order !!!!! This woman had the gall to say that she didn’t know why she did it after admitting it! Lord Jesus, help our teachers and allow only those without hidden agendas and love for children to become teachers … I don’t know if it is racism or sheer dislike for him, but something is not right! Please keep up to date with what is happening with your young children in the classroom … ask them questions every day !!!
Fox26 reported that a second mother said something similar happened to her daughter last fall with a different teacher at the same school and was told that “there would be an investigation.”
Investigation Report
According to KATV, the school district said in a statement that it is “actively investigating” the allegation. ”
“Employees throughout the district work hard every day to create an environment in which students feel safe and secure,” the statement said, according to KATV.
Lasiter is still listed on the school website as a kindergarten teacher in the Learning Services department.
In 2018-2019, she was listed in the school district’s documentation as a winner of more than $ 57,000 a year.
