Destini Smothers was identified as the lady who disappeared more than four months ago. Her body was found Wednesday in the trunk of an abandoned car about to be towed in Queens. She is believed to be an upstate New York mother who disappeared on November 3, authorities said.

Smothers had had a “heated argument” with her boyfriend, who is the father of her children, the report said. She then she got out of the black 2011 Toyota Camry Hybrid and started walking, leaving her phone behind her, according to the report.

Her body was found 127 days later and 15 miles away in southern Queens.

Cause of Death

Sanitation Department workers made a shocking discovery after blowing up the trunk of a dark sedan with no license plates they were towing from 160-47 Lefferts Boulevard in Ozone Park just before 10 a.m.
